Things that appraisers believe are adverse conditions that must be repaired prior to closing...Part 3...

I met a plumbing contractor today to fix something that absolutely could lead to trouble. Do you notice where the arrow is pointing? That is not a good place to have a sizable gap and a big old hole -- in the wall of a shower where water can easily dribble in behind the wall. This can lead to dryrot or other deterioration. The top image is the appraiser's photo, and the bottom image is after repairs were made.

This was required of an FHA appraiser for a FHA loan...
