I joined the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals...

No, your eyes have not deceived you - I'm not hispanic. Yes, I did join the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). For the record, I do have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and a minor in Ethnic Studies from California State University, Sacramento. I definitely work with hispanic Sacramento buyers and sellers.

The mission of NAHREP is "to increase the rate of sustainable Hispanic home-ownership by empowering the real estate professionals that serve the community." They offer some valuable educational opportunities for members (short sale classes, working with bank repos, etc), networking with other real estate professionals, and more. It's all good stuff, and I am happy to be a member...I want to be involved anything that helps me be a better agent for my clients. Realistically much of I gain from being involved with this association will benefit ALL of my clients, not just clients who are also hispanic.
