The City of Elk Grove has received grant money from the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) "Neighborhood Stabilization Program." The program affords eligible first time home buyers up to $60k in the form of low interest, payment-deferred loan toward their downpayment and closing costs!!
Of course there are several buyer eligibility requirements...among the requirements are that the home must be a bank-owned/foreclosed single family home, within the city limits, and the buyer's income must be within the 2009 "moderate income limits."
