Utility Company Rebates & Tax Incentives - Go Green!

I met some clients of mine today at their new house to get a bid for a solar water heater to be installed after the close of escrow. The contractor we met mentioned that if they had it installed before the end of the year, they were eligible for a rebate! He pointed me in the direction of SMUD's website. Did you know you can receive a rebate for:
  • Aeroseal duct sealing
  • Central Heat & Air
  • Cool Roof
  • Pool pumps and motors
  • Refrigerator, washer, dryer, and dishwasher
  • Solar Water Heater
  • Whole House fan
  • Photovoltaic systems (Solar)
In addition to rebates, did you know that the Federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 provides tax incentives for installing certain energy efficiency products and technologies in and on your home? What are we waiting for??

How about radiant barriers? Same thing? Cheap and effective way of reducing energy bills for home where installing a solar system doesn't pencil. (smaller sq. ft.)
Thanks!
