Fools Foundation

For those of you who like stimulating films, documentaries, lectures, and workshops - I highly recommend paying a visit to the Fools Foundation. My husband and I stumbled across the Fools Foundation almost two years ago...we have watched everything from older films, wide-release documentaries, local documentaries (pretty good ones too!), etc. Every Friday night at 7pm (and occasionally Sundays), you can find some sort of thought-provoking event. They just relocated their events to a new place...Location: 600 4th St in West Sacramento. Corner of 4th & F (in WEST Sacramento, not Sacramento). This is *just* over the river near the Pyramid Building. Parking lot (which is lit) is just off of F St between 4th & 5th. It's a huge gray building taking up about half the block. Admission is $5 and well worth it!

Here is November's itinerary:
- 11/9/07; East of Euclid - A twisted comic film noir set in 1972. Just completed a successful tour of film festivals apparently...
- 11/16/07; You Think You Really Know Me: The Gary Wilson Story - An independent documentary.
- 11/23/07; A Boy and His Dog - Follow-up your Thanksgiving with this 1975 indie classic based on Harlan Ellison's novella.
- 11/30/07; The 4th Dimension - Honorable Mention recipient from the Cinevegas Grand Jury.

...AND - coming soon is the "Media That Matters Film Festival." According to their site, this is a compilation of 8-minute short films that deal with relevant social issues...
