Wow...check out the listing inventory by month through the end of April...this chart represents single family homes in Sacramento County from February 2006 - April 2007. The number of homes on the market is creeping back up in its typical summer fashion, but take note at the levels from April 2006. There were over 1700 more homes on the market in April 2007. Buyers have a lot of choices.
To put this graph in perspective, let's look at the same time period from 2 years ago (February 2004 - April 2005). Far fewer homes on the market, and also take note of the number of pending and sold homes...we are in a much different market now.
